Madhavananda das

Madhavananda das has played a significant role in spreading the tradition of bhakti-yoga and preserving the deep spiritual values of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. He joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in 1982 in Los Angeles, and his spiritual teacher became His Divine Grace Srila Gaur Govinda Swami Maharaj.

Since 1993, Madhavananda das has lived in Bhubaneswar, in the Indian state of Odisha, where he dedicates himself to the deep study of scriptures. He is the director of ISKCON Gopal Jiu Publications and the editor of Sri Krishna Kathamrita Magazine and the Sri Krishna Kathamrita Bindu e-mail magazine, which bring inspiring articles on Vaishnava philosophy, history, and spiritual practice.

He also leads the Bhaktivedanta Research Center branch in Odisha, named GORA (Gaudiya Oriya Research Association), which focuses on researching the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition in the Odisha region and its related literature.
